T.J
TJ is the intials to this pop/rock singer's real name Tengku Jaffar who is from Singapore's monarch family and also a descendant of Sultan Hussein. He released his first single in 2009 but it was his second single which was released in August 2013, Girang Di Hati, that saw him to the top spot of Ria 89.7fm Top 20 charts and he stayed there with ease for 18 weeks. Recently, the singer released his third single, M.I.L.U (Masih I Love U) and this song brings out a happy tune in almost anyone and it catches on easily for its catchy melody.
Mystic Dream
Their love for experimenting and challenging themselves in music is what that made this Progressive Rock band who they are. It was in August 2015 that Mystic Dream broke into the scene and took it by storm with their hit single Memori which gained popularity and managed to stay in Top 20 charts on Ria 89.7fm for 18 weeks and maintained the top spot time and time again. Memori also earned a spot on Ria 89.7fm's Top 30 Songs of 2016 among other Singaporean, Indonesian and Malaysian hits. The band had just released their second single, Abadi, on Singapore's malay radio stations and also major online stores.They also tried their hands in producing their own MV.
Life Petal
When group of young talented individuals got together to write songs about love, life and faith, Life Petal was formed. This Fusion Pop/Rock band released their first single, Permataku, back in 2014 and released their latest single, Ikrar Cinta, in March 2016. Their songs are spinning daily on radio stations in Singapore and Malaysia and they are gaining popularity quickly.
Denova
Mencapai Impian was a big leap for modern rock band Denova and made its presence felt in March 2016 with daily airplay on Singapore's national radio station, Ria 89.7fm. The band released their 2nd single on New Year's Day of 2017 with Nota Simfoni and it became an instant anthem and created buzz for the band. These guys are definitely a band to look out for in the near future.
Heremod
The word or name Heremod derives from the Danish folklore and was one of the past legendary Scandinavian kings. This Blackened Death Metal band play regularly in Indonesia and they released their debut self-titled album, Heremod, in 2015. Melodic riffs, hard hitting chuggs, blastbeats and crushing guttral vocals are just some ways for them to express their music.

Margyyah
Singapore's death metal band Margyyah was formed in the year 1998. Their music portrays the truth of lies deception, hypocrisy of mankind. The band released their full-length album The Truth in 2016 and was widely accepted and received many reviews

Din Ilango
With his experience playing alongside bands like Kill Teddy and music knowledge, music instructor and singer/songwriter Din Ilango created a huge buzz in Singapore's malay music scene with his debut single, Seperti Maya Karin. It became a chart-topper and a mainstay on Ria 89.7fm's Top 20 Charts. Seperti Maya Karin also earned a spot at #7 on Ria 89.7fm's Top 30 Songs of 2016 among other Singaporean, Indonesian and Malaysian hits.
In May 2017, he released another hit single, Sabarlah Sayang, which climbed up on the Top 20 charts in just 2 weeks of its release.
Antologi
This is heavy-metal/thrash band can really wreck the stage with their blasting hard-riffs. With influences like Deicide, Luciferian, Slayer, Death, Testament, Disturbed, Carnal Force, Godsmack, Necrophagist, Nile, Destruction, Ramones, Trivium and Cannibal Corpse it is a sweet surprise that they ever had a popular rock ballad in the form of Tangisan Lara Pecinta written by main songwriter Adi Reaper. He also was the person behind some of their anthems: Khazanah Hayat and Amuk Si Jebat which was co-written by Remi, a former drummer of the band who is now hitting the drums for punk-rock outfit PumpBusGrass. With various single releases and a full-length album, the band then proceed to release a mini-EP, Maruah.
PumpBusGrass
After many years of playing in gigs, finally this punk rock band decided to hit the studio and released their EP, Human Being. Based on socio-political issues, PumpBusGrass released songs like Black And Bruise, Dean Society and Human Being.
Nurizwan Azmi
The 33 year old singer songwriter Nurizwan Azmi gained internet infamy through several provocative but witty viral videos, launched his first single Euforia Sementara, song about fleeting moments, blissful highs and painful lows, in September 2016 which quickly gained popularity. All About Bob
Though having been in separate bands after school, Adi (Abattory), Shahid (Profancer) and Remi (Wayward), the trio formed a band another schoolmate of theirs under the name of Antologi where an album “Arah Perjalanan” was released in 2011. Bob & Remi left Antologi in 2012 to pursue their music with their new bands and genres. In mid 2016, All about Bob was formed when Adi , Bob & Remi came together to try music out of their comfort zone, rock and metal . Their debut pop single, Cinta Satu which featured Raiha, a young and upcoming Indonesian female singer, received positive feedbacks from listeners and radio DJs.
The Zozi
Staying true to their Singaporean ethics, they play a variation of songs influence by daily undertakings in their "not so - angst teenage life". "We just want to tickle some senses playing up-beat guitar riffs you can move to alongside comically random lyrics." quote the front-man. Emerging from the dark, edgy and notorious HDB void decks, they call themselves The Zozi. These underground musicians have yet to discover the world with an exclusive flavor of local music when they involve food and contradicting issues in their songs.
The band released their latest single, Pengantin Bahulu, in March.
Fitrah
A group of seasoned musicians from different genres from punk-rock, ska to experimental metal get together to form a band mainly for commercial music; Fitrah was born. With their alternative rock styled fused with the didgeridoo, Akanku Lukiskan hits town as their first radio release together as a band.
Aldrich Atcoustic
Aldrich Atcoustic is born in Singapore, raised in Indonesia before firming his footing here in 1998. The music bug bit him at six when his dad gave him a secondhand guitar that cost a mere $20. From the humble beginning of making noises in his bedroom, the self-declared social media addict is now a featured artiste on Migme and is highly active on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram with over 100,000 fans and counting.
He hopes to use uncomplicated lyrics with upbeat and catchy tunes to connect with you. A real, true gem of talent disguised as your regular boy-next-door, take a bite out of his heart with his intricate honest pieces. Have a listen to his radio single, Cinta Ajaib!
Kraton
After several singles hitting the radio and garnered following in the region including a nomination for Most Popular Singapore Artist in 2010, Kraton released a full-length concept album, The Nusantara Chronicles. The album received mixed reviews and was even mentioned in an online music website as Top 100 Best International Metal Album in 2013. The band then released a compilation album which consists seven of their radio singles entitled, Borok Pitu, in commemorating their 7th year.
The band is currently in the studio working on their next concept album. Definitely something to look out for!
